ABOUT

OUR MISSION AND OUR PROMISE

In today’s world, dominated by social media, video storytelling for nonprofits, schools and community organizations isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Films do what mission statements can’t: generate an emotional connection with an audience that brings new resources and people to a cause. Whether you're a school, a college, a performing arts organization, a health care service, a city or town, we know how to produce quality story-telling films that build those connections.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

Our Approach. Dedication, warmth, energy, innovation—these are the qualities that define your organization, and they're what we excel at capturing. Our superpower is blending seamlessly into any setting, helping the people we film feel at ease, allowing us to capture truly authentic moments. From candid, up-close joyful interactions at a school for children with special needs to working in the inner sanctum of the Aspen Institute, we've been there. Our interviews range from candid, on-the-fly style, to handsomely lit formal sit-down interviews for Discovery and PBS.

We don't charge by the day. At Boston Filmworks, we don't measure time by the clock. No day rates. No rate cards. There's no meter running. Every project is different. From the very beginning, we focus on understanding your unique needs and how we can best collaborate with you to fulfill them. We partner with you to define clear deliverables and a fair, affordable project budget. And then we work diligently until we achieve complete satisfaction.

Our financial model is inspired by Newman's Own. One Hundred percent of our net profits are channeled directly into the Boston Filmworks Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization (operating as Ripple of Hope Films, Inc. dba Boston Filmworks). These funds are dedicated to supporting the production of high-quality films that amplify the voices of underfunded community nonprofits.
